This is a multi-function calculator which can calculate Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR), Creatinine Clearance Ratio (CCR), Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) and Insulin Resistance for the patient.
GFR is the measurement of how well the kidney is filtering wastes from the blood. Creatinine is a waste product formed by the normal breakdown of muscle cells.
A healthy kidney filters creatinine out of the blood and put it into the urine to leave the body . When the kidney is not functioning well, creatinine builds up in the blood.
Insulin is a hormone which controls the glucose balance in the blood.Insulin Resistance is the condition in which normal amount of insulin is inadequately secreted by the beta cells. If the insulin resistance occurs,he will develop diabetes. Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) Cholesterol is the ”bad” cholesterol which will build up in the blood vessel wall and block the arteries. |
