The CHD risk calculator uses recent information from the Framingham Heart Study to predict a person’s possibility of having heart attack in the next 10 years. It is designed to estimate CHD risk in percentage, the higher the percentage, the greater the risk of developing coronary heart disease.
This calculator will generate questions asking you to input answers (perimeters given) such as sex, age, systolic blood pressure, diastolic pressure, HDL, LDL, glucose, smoking status, waist size, etc. Then, it will tell you the risk (in %) of developing coronary heart disease in 10 years’ time. |
